Today I'm sharing a guilty pleasure "corn flake cookies", I could eat this all day every day and never get tired of them. They are the perfect combination of chewy buttery cookie, with the crunchiness of the corn flakes and so easy to make.
1 cup flour
1 cup sugar
1 cup butter
1 cup corn flakes
1 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 teaspoon of baking powder
pinch of salt
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C)
2. In a large bowl, cream together the butter and sugar until smooth. Stir in the egg and vanilla. Sift together the flour, salt and baking powder; stir into the creamed mixture. Add the crushed corn flakes and mix until combined.
3. Drop dough by teaspoonfuls onto a cookie sheet. Cookies should be about 2 inches apart. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes in the preheated oven. Cookies should be light brown at the edges and on the bottom. Remove from baking sheets to cool on wire racks.
